about graybird

Quality over Quantity. That’s what backcountry riding is all about, and that’s what defines our experiences. We’re focused on high quality, experience based trips where we start with a high five and end with hugs!

But when the quality (powder) is good, we can’t stop and won’t stop (shredding). We have a problem, but we’ve admitted it and our problem is your benefit. We’ll deliver as much quantity as your legs can handle, because we love this stuff and we just want to do it as much as possible - with you!

Our trips are really what define us. We’ve built experiences that focus around the mountain culture, that maximize your time, and allow you to focus on the fun.

Shane Robinson

Graybird Founder

Shane has been described as a weathervane - and hey that rhymes. If you are stoked to be skiing powder, Shane will have an ear to ear grin, and egging you on for one more lap. Feeling chill, he also likes hippy turns and sauna laps back at the lodge as well. Shane is as excited to teach you a new tip or technique as he is to go look around the corner in hopes of finding more untracked snow. Always reading the appropriate vibe and then keeping it going.

Trevor Kostanich

Guide and Partner for Zero to Hero Camp & Vista Lodge Trip

Trevor is the quiet crusher in the corner, but nobody put's Trevor in the corner. He’s not going to brag about his 34-day first-of-its-kind ski traverse from Snoqualmie Pass to Canada, or the guide book he co-authored, but yeah, he did both of those! He also use to help manage the largest ski area in Washington. Trevor has a unique ability to instruct through mentorship, and loves BC Hut Trips and Selkirk Powder as much as we do.
